Competitive Golf
Saints Golf students compete at the highest levels of university golf. From BUCS Championships to international competition, they represent the University across the world while balancing demanding academic programmes.
Every time a Saints golfer competes, they carry the reputation of St Andrews and the Home of Golf onto some of amateur golf’s most prestigious stages.
Your support helps fund:
- BUCS competition travel and accommodation
- Student Tour Series participation
- The Boyd Quaich Memorial Tournament
- Team fixtures and representative matches
- Coaching and competition support
As external funding streams reduce, philanthropic support will become increasingly important in ensuring these opportunities continue for future generations of students.
Impact
Competition develops resilience, leadership, teamwork and ambition. Your investment enables students to compete with distinction while becoming ambassadors for St Andrews throughout the world.
Our partners also recognise the importance of investing in the next generation of golfers:

“At Rusacks St Andrews, we are constantly inspired by the history that surrounds us. Being just steps from the Old Course, we are reminded every day that this is the place where the game was shaped, and where generations of golfers have created unforgettable moments. That sense of legacy is why our partnership with Saints Golf means so much to us. Supporting young players who are learning and competing in the very heart of golf’s story feels incredibly special. We are proud to play even a small part in their journey, and to help ensure that the tradition and spirit of St Andrews continue to thrive through the next generation.”
