Disability Golf

Every student should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of golf. With more than 2,000 students registered with a disability, St Andrews has an opportunity to become a national leader in inclusive university golf.

Saints Golf is developing a structured disability programme that removes barriers to participation and creates clear pathways from introductory sessions through to club membership and competitive golf, supported by trained student enablers and partnerships with national and international organisations.

Support in this area enhances:

  • Adapted equipment
  • Golf Buddy Scheme
  • Student enabler training
  • Competitive pathways through EDGA and G4D

Impact

Your support helps ensure that ability, not disability, defines a student’s golfing journey. Together, we can create one of the UK’s most inclusive university golf programmes, opening the game to students who may never have believed golf was for them.

“My lasting memory of St Andrews is a ten foot putt on the last green on the Old Course to win my first British Boys Championship match when I was fifteen having been six down after six holes!”
